Enjoy the beauty and charm of quintessential Tuscany on two wheels. Explore ancient hill towns and sunbathed textured landscapes. Cycle the rolling hills of the Amiata and the valleys leading to the Tuscan Coast known as the Maremma. Relax each evening in a fine hotel.
Your first stop, is Albergo Le Macinaie, www.lemacinaie.com, our deluxe 3 star Tuscan hotel located in Castel del Piano. It has a renowned kitchen featuring local Tuscan cuisine. You will not be disappointed. To the north is the Val d'Orcia, with the towns of Montalcino, San Quirico, Pienza, and Montepulciano.
To the southwest, the area of the Maremma with the towns of Cinigiano, Pitigliano, Sovano and Scansano. The Tuscan massif area where your hotel is located can be seen from a great distance. The scenery of the Amiata is spectacular with ancient woods, fascinating rock formations, and clear streams. This is an almost perfect area for cycling, where the roads are less traveled.
After 5 nights at our first hotel you will spend 3 nights in the Maremma at our 4 star agriturismo, Agritursmo Montebelli, www.montebelli.com.
